LTT-MELISAģ for active Lyme
Lyme borreliosis is caused by tick-borne infection with Borrelia burgdorferi and is characterized by dermatological (erythema chronicum migrans), arthritic, and neurological manifestations. Conventional serological testing for antibodies to borrelia (ELISA, Western Blot) may indicate a past or current infection but is often ambiguous and cannot confirm active Lyme. Laboratory diagnosis can be improved with an optimized lymphocyte transformation test (LTT-MELISAģ) in which borrelia-specific memory T cells can be detected in peripheral blood. The test improves laboratory diagnosis by confirming active disease in patients with clinical suspicion of Lyme and by providing an early marker for successful therapy.

Test indications:
- Diagnosis of active disease in patients with clinical suspicion of Lyme.
- Identification of patients with chronic (therapy-resistant) Lyme.
- Early confirmation of therapeutic success.
